Grocery Shopping & In-Villa Dining
Grocery shopping is possible during working hours. Please understand that the priority for the staff is to keep the villa up to the highest standard. For services outside working hours, such as cooking or looking after kids, a charge of IDR 50,000/hour per staff member applies. Please arrange this directly with the team — the fee is not calculated by the minute.
Special Requests & Dietary Requirements
Should you have a request for a dish that is not on the menu, or a special dietary requirement, please arrange this with your staff directly. All food services — except promo packages inclusive of The Sahana Breakfast — are entirely at the guest's expense.
Daily Complimentary Breakfast*
Breakfast is prepared at your chosen time each morning in your villa. Included complimentary: white or brown toast, butter & jam, tea or coffee, a dose of traditional herbal juice, seasonal fruit platter, fruit juice or fruit salad, and 2 eggs per person prepared your way — or pancakes/crepes with maple syrup or strawberry jam. For something more traditional, we also offer four Indonesian breakfast options.
*For bookings below USD 350/night, breakfast is not automatically included — however our staff will be more than happy to shop and prepare meals for you. All ingredients are at the guest's expense.

Need to unwind a little? At Sahana Villas we've got you covered. We've tried out quite a few local therapists (tough job, but someone had to do it), and there's one we wholeheartedly recommend: Weni. She's incredible. A session with her is IDR 225,000, paid directly to her — just ask your butler and they'll set it up.

The Only Bali Villa With Its Own 5.5ha Coffee Plantation
For you coffee lovers.
Our coffee beans come straight from our own plantation in the cool, misty mountains of Bedugul. We've got about 5.5 hectares of semi-shaded land up there, and honestly, it's coffee paradise. The beans are all handpicked and sun-dried for a few days before we roast them the old-school Balinese way — slow and steady in drums over a charcoal fire.
We only grind the beans right before brewing your cup. That way you get the full, rich flavour without losing that smooth, chocolatey note that makes our Arabica so special. It's bold, but not too much — just the perfect balance to start your day.
Love it as much as we do? You can take it home and bring the taste of Sahana Villas with you, so your morning coffee still feels like your Bali moment long after you've left.

Water Blessing In Bali
Water represents the flow of energy — prana or chi — connecting our emotions and intuition. In Balinese belief, water is one of the key forces of life.
Balinese Hindus participate in water blessings regularly (Melukat) — a spiritual cleansing ritual aimed at self-purification of both body and soul.
Holy Water Cleansing
The water purification ritual with a Traditional Master Healer (Jero Melati) encompasses mysterious and ancient rites to cleanse our being and eradicate negative energy. This unique spiritual event is a genuine purification healing ritual and a deep symbolic experience, which positively influences everyone who receives it long after it happens.
What To Expect
Not every day is suitable for a water blessing, especially for healing practices. Please consult your butler to check the Balinese calendar with Jero Melati for the right days. For the blessing you'll be invited to receive a holy water cleansing — the priestess gradually pours holy water over your head and body. Afterwards you may change into dry clothes (sarong and a shirt covering the shoulders) and meditate in the shrine or holy room.
Proper attire is provided and explained by the villa staff. Women on their menstrual cycle are not advised to visit a temple to perform purification.
Jero Melati
Jero Melati was born into a priest caste in Bangli. She spent most of her childhood in school and assisted her uncle, the Mangku Dalem, in the village of Nyangelan Kaca, learning all about ceremonies and traditional ointments. She studied Balinese dance, pursued a modelling career, and is considered one of Bali's leading fashion models, with awards for several motion pictures. Now her talents and calling have caught up with her, and her deep spiritual roots guide her life and journey to a higher level.
Price
There is no price tag on spiritual "services" in Bali. An appropriate donation to the holy room is much appreciated. Funds donated are used to help those in need, upkeep the shrine, and support the journey to collect energy from the many temples of Bali.
